CHILD FRIENDLY COUNTRIES FOR CHILDREN, AND STATES IN THE U.S: 

KIDS IN DANGER (KID) recommends that you avoid vacationing in states and countries that are unfriendly to children and families in order to protect your kids and to let officials in these places know that child safety should be a priority. These ratings are based on whether the state passed Jessica's Law (this law increases penalties against child predators and prohibits judges from giving light sentences), whether crimes against children are a misdemeanor or felony, and how much support law enforcement receives from elected officials. If you live in states that are deemed unfriendly KID encourages you to: 1) Vote for leaders who support child-protection legislation and, 2) Write to your elected officials and urge them to support child-protection legislation, 3) demand financial and moral support for your local law enforcement, or 4) relocate to a different state. If you live in a non-child-friendly country KID urges you to work non-violently towards a more stable government and leaders who will protect children, or relocate to a friendlier country.
